The brief: To transform a classroom into a nurture room. To create a display that’s a usable resource to help calm pupils.

The process: Two Thirds Design were invited to Graiseley Primary School to brainstorm ideas for a blank room with a large storage area within it. We named the room The Hive and themed the design around bees. We created a feelings rainbow display as well as two breathing displays.

The end result: The external windows were covered with triple print vinyl, the two internal windows were covered with foamex and solid vinyl to aid privacy. The wall of cupboards had vinyl applied so that the resources were accessible. Some of the walls had additional foamex boards fitted with strong adhesive gel tape.
