The brief: 

To update the school branding and create a welcoming entrance that reflects the Catholic Primary School’s new logo, it’s values and faith. To tidy up the notices to parents that were currently blue tacked to the windows and walls to produce a professional, calm and friendly entrance.

The process: 

Two Thirds Design were invited to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School to brainstorm ideas for their school interior.

The school shares its site with it’s church so we wanted our designs to compliment and enhance the church’s beautiful features. Inspiration was taken from the school’s church windows and mosaics to create the colour palette and patterns. We created a modern Our Lady Saint statue, adapted the Catholic Jesuit Pupil Profile Values and used the school’s mission statement and new logo to create their wall and window displays.

The end result:  

The entrance door had the school logo created in frosted vinyl and the glass panes had printed transparent window vinyl. The reception hatch was framed with full colour printed vinyl wallpaper, with transparent window vinyl added to the glass. The Saint statue was created using reverse printed acrylic, die-cut to shape and mounted with stand-off fixings. The school certificates were box framed.

Wall displays were created from acrylic disks mounted over full wall vinyl wallpaper. The metal post box had vinyl cut lettering added to the opening.

We created an updateable staff board by reverse printing on acrylic and mounting acrylic poster pockets to the face. We also installed window poster pockets so the school staff could update notices to parents in a clean easy way.
