The brief: To create visuals that inform visitors and remind pupils as well as staff about the school’s mission and Christian values.
The process: Two Thirds Design were invited to St Oswald’s C of E Primary School to brainstorm ideas for the school hall and entrance. An illustrated scene was created to reflect each value, focusing on the church at the centre.
The end result: The main wall was covered with bespoke wallpaper and the Lord’s Prayer Board was printed on Foamex. The entrance plaques were created in acrylic and cut to shape.
“Thank you so much for helping us realise such an inspirational backdrop to our hall. Today the Director of education for the Coventry Diocesan Board of Education popped in to see the Artwork. To say she was blown away was an understatement. I left it to the House Captains to explain the meaning of all the different parts including the school values – it was incredibly moving. Everyone that sees it sees something profound and significant to them.’
Hilary Lorimer – Headteacher
