The brief: To create visuals that illustrate the Colmers Personal Development Tree and unpack the expectations of students. The design had to hide the vast amount of trunking and electrical sockets in the space.
The process: Two Thirds Design were invited to the school to brainstorm ideas for the corridor. An illustrated scene was based on the proverb ‘mighty oaks from little acorns grow!’. The symbolism of the Oak tree growing up from a globe, reflects that something great can come from a modest beginning, that there is a big world out there and to reach for the stars.
The end result: The corridor walls were covered with a combination of foamex, diBond and vinyl. Using different sized stand-off fixings to hide an array of conduits.
